short work weeks and routines

I have had 2 really short work weeks back to back. The week of Christmas we worked only Thursday and Friday. This week we added Wednesday to the mix. I loved the time off. I was lazy to the point of....well, whatever the epitome of laziness is.

Next week we are back to regular programming with a 5 day work week that will probably kick my butt. But I am looking forward to it. The break was wonderful, but how can I really appreciate those moments if I don't have the routine of the 5 day work week to spur me on?!?

So today I am thankful for mini vacations from work and for getting back to work. By this time next week I will probably look back and call myself crazy, but then, that's nothing new!

Have a great day!

  1. I love holidays! They sort of give us our yearly "recharge"...I am on leave from work this week, too, and loving it. I feel so recharged not doing anything!
